These items are used to provide advertising that is more relevant to you and your interests. They can also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Advertising networks usually place them with the permission of the site operator.
Personalization
These items allow the site to remember the choices you make (such as your username, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. For example, a site may provide local weather reports or traffic news by storing data about your current location.

Webflow changed the game (again)

What's new in WebflowConf 2023 for the no-code community

In recent days, we have been following the most recent edition of Webflow Conf 2023, the annual conference where new features are released, cases presented by agencies and developers, and everything else that contributes to the growth of the Webflow community as a whole.

The main keynote, presented by Co-founder and CEO Vlad Magdalin, took place on the first day of the conference and brought a series of very impactful news for the no-code market and long desired by Webflow Developers from around the world — and for us, of course. 😀

Webflow has been one of the main platforms we use to develop our projects here at Mukutu Consulting and Development. Having a visual web development platform gave us greater agility and autonomy on a daily basis, allowing for ever better deliveries for our clients.

Below, we list the main news and releases that occurred at the opening keynote. Take a look:

Rebranding and new UI

New Webflow brand - Webflow Conf 2023

One of the main novelties presented was the New brand of Webflow, updated after many years, which comes to reflect this new phase of the company, more modern and increasingly complete. We, in particular, enjoyed it a lot and starting keynote like that has already raised our expectations.

But this rebranding it didn't stop there; the entire Webflow interface was also revisited and underwent very significant changes, making it cleaner and more organized.

Spline integration

Integrating 3D models with Spline

We are very excited about this new integration with Spline Tool, where it will be possible to create much more immersive experiences using models 3D natively in Webflow, thus allowing greater control over animations and advanced interactions.

Localization

Native translation in Webflow with Localization

One of the features most requested by the global community, it is now possible to have sites in several languages also natively, without the need to hire external tools.

Here at Mukutu, until then, we used the Weglot as one of the main tools for translation and management. However, with this new feature, we believe that it will be much more practical and simple to use a native function.

It is worth remembering that Localization works as an add-on that has a specific cost depending on its use.

Design Variables

Managing variables in Webflow

With this new feature, it is possible to create patterns and variables for various component properties, making it easier to maintain elements quickly and efficiently. This way we will be able to have much more control not only during construction, but also in possible changes after the launch of our projects.

We currently use the Client-First What is a framework developed by Finsweet which already helps us a lot in standardizing and structuring classes within Webflow. And now, with Variables, we will be able to develop much more robust, consistent and scalable style systems.

Figma Design Sync App

Figma to Webflow

Launched at the beginning of the year, the Webflow plugin for Figma received a new version, which now, in addition to allowing to copy a specific component, section or entire page of Figma directly to Webflow, also allows the synchronization of components and for any adjustment or modification made to be automatically updated between the two platforms.

This type of autonomy that Webflow gives us, even more so connecting with other tools that are already widely used in the market, is what makes us increasingly certain that it is the ideal tool in our stack.

Custom CSS Properties

Normally when we are developing new projects and are faced with some interface challenge that Webflow does not allow us to create natively, we choose to use low-code, that is, short lines of code that help us implement CSS properties and even non-native (Javascript) functionalities. However, Webflow is working on a new option where it will be possible to add custom CSS properties via the styles panel in Webflow Designer, without the need to add custom code, already displaying a list of options in the menu.

In addition to all these new features, improvements have also been released for the management of components and instances, new APIs for the development of Apps on Webflow and update of DevLink which now also allows the implementation of React components in projects.

We believe and see the enormous potential of Webflow in the face of market growth No-Code and Low-Code and we're excited about what all of this can provide us.

Today, Webflow is already one of our main tools for website development and if you also want to create your site using no-code/low-code.

Let's talk and launch another incredible project!
